    As far as I understand, "stitch someone up" simply means to make someone look bad (on purpose) by telling lies or badmouthing them about things that they didn't do at all. For example, Aly got arrested yesterday for being naughty, you know why? It's Maria, she stitched him up by lying to the police.

    Great video! I'm going to the UK soon, and your videos are helping me so much with the expressions (and I'm so glad you're doing your amazing drawings again!). And I have one question not related to the video, but hope you don't mind answering it: are brits strict when it comes to hearing other accents? Do I have to work on my british accent or they'll be ok with my own? Love your videos❤️

    Very informative video, thank you teacher! I have two questions; Can the expression "Fair enough" sound/come off as if you don't care about what the other person says? Like, there is a situation where the best answer would be to say fair enough but I would not want to sound as if I don't care what that person says, I just think fair enough would be the best answer. So, should we use fair enough at formal conversations as well because it kind of sounds like the person saying it just doesn't care or is it just me? And can the expression "Can't be bothered" be understood by the others as if the person saying it regards too highly of himself and belittles the other person and their request?

    • @papateachme
      @papateachme День тому

      It can. It all depends on HOW you say it, like your facial expression: is it friendly or do you LOOK like you don’t care. That kind of thing :) Same thing for “can’t be bothered” 🤘🤓
